Bike Riding

I’m proud to say that our little Emelia rides her bike like a champ. She picked up riding her tricycle without any issue, so it shouldn’t surprise that she took to riding her bike without any trouble. I’ve been holding off on teaching her how to ride because I was afraid of the crying and scraps that usually accompany learning, but Sue strapped on her helmet and let her go.

Unfortunately, I was busy around the house and didn’t get to take any pictures of video, but she did well. She can go up and down the driveway without any help. The only time she gets stuck is when she has to go up an incline or a hump. After lots of practice she’ll probably be fine without the training wheels, but she’s definitely going to get scuffed up then.

Caitlin is taking to the tricycle too. She’s a bit small, but that doesn’t stop her from trying. She can’t reach the pedals, but she can scoot around by using her feet. I am not surprised as she is agile enough to stand atop a bounce and spin toy that they have at daycare. She’s a circus act in the making that one.
