Olivia Bailing

It’s my pleasure to announce that Olivia Bailing (百灵) was born today (December 22, 2009) at 2:53am weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces and 19.5 inches long. The labor went quickly and both Amy and baby are doing well. For those who don’t know Chinese her middle name is pronounced “bye” with a down and then up inflection followed by “ling” with an upward inflection.
Everything went rather quickly tonight. Amy was told by the doctor to go to the hospital tonight to see how the baby was doing and they ended up staying there. I picked James up in the evening time and he has been with us ever since. He’s had a great time eating dinner with us, playing games, reading, singing and then finally crashing for the night.
We’ll bring Emelia and James to meet Olivia in the morning before heading off to work and so that we can take some pictures of the new one.
It’s truly exciting even though we have two of our own.
