Brrr

It’s only about 20 degrees out now, but that’s warm compared to what it has been this passed week. We woke to find it was 7 one day and 3 degrees the next. Brrr. On the up side the insulation we blew into the attic has done wonders. Sealing up the air leaks in the attic and basement, and laying down 18” of insulation has kept the second floor much warmer than ever before. It may be my imagination, but I don’t believe the heat runs as much either. Comparing this and last year’s gas bill would be worthless as Sue’s baking a lot this year and would likely throw up the numbers.

Everybody in the house (knock on wood) has been illness free for at least a week. Caitlin has a runny nose, but that is common for her lately. Emelia is till in full swing of terrible twos and Caitlin is doing amazing. She’s been in the infant 2 room for nearly a month and her level of interaction with everything and everybody has shot through the roof. She crawls around the house quickly and gets into anything she can reach. She plays with toys and with Emelia. She’s also a lot more alert to her surroundings. It’s a great stage of life.
