Happy Thanksgiving
Another year, another turkey and another stuffed Shaun followed by a pre-dawn trip to stores to fight the crowds. Happy Thanksgiving!
This year has turned out pretty nice and calm for us. Recently, Sue has taken the reins and make T’day dinner, but this year Jason and Lily took care of the food. Sue took off part of Tuesday to bake a bakery full of desserts, but that’s the extent of it.
T’day started off pretty well. We got a decent night of sleep (at least Emelia and I did) and in the morning we made another trek out to the walkway. James had been asking about it ever since we took Emelia. Mike, James, Emelia and I walked the full length. Emelia rose in a stroller most of the way, but was well behaved overall. A quick nap for all and we made our way to Jason’s house.
At Jason’s house we stuffed ourselves with appetizers. Lily had made up plenty of goodies to eat and we brought a couple of our own. We were rightfully stuffed and we rested while the kids ran around like animals. A couple hours later we over-stuffed ourselves again on dinner. And believe it or not an hour or so later we piled up plates of desserts for another stuffing. Needless to say I ate far too much and suffered for it. It’s good we only eat that way once a year. I haven’t taken any pictures yet, but Jason has a few on his camera that I’ll get and post.
Friday morning Sue set off to hit multiple stores for black Friday deals. I hit up Target myself, but had to head back to the house early. In the end Sue was able to stock up on Christmas presents and she even indulged me by picking me up a 1 terabyte drive to backup files. There were a couple of disappointments, but in the end it looks like it was worth the time.
