All are Well

As of today (Halloween) it seems that everybody in the family is finally well and not suffering from any sickness, other than myself who still has a residual cough. Last weekend Emelia got sick suddenly. It came on at 1am Saturday night where she got sick repeatedly in bed. We ended up falling asleep on the couch sitting upright after another bout of getting sick. She hated the experience, but in the end we finally got some sleep. She bounced back pretty well on the following Sunday and was able to go to daycare on Monday.
Tuesday afternoon I had to bring her home sick. Vomiting again. And she was not the only one sick that day. Sue stayed home with her Wednesday, which is when I became ill with the same stomach virus. Emelia and I stayed home Thursday. When I picked up Caitlin on Thursday I found James at daycare getting sick himself. He got it too and unfortunately missed the Halloween celebration on Friday. Sue and Caitlin have been lucky enough to have avoided getting sick. I don’t know how they did it, but they missed out on the fun the rest of us experienced.
Emelia had her last swimming class today. She did well as usual and is ready to start up her next class next week. Same class, same instructors, same everything. I hope that she does well enough to move up to the next class. She’s just about there and will likely be well beyond this current class before it’s through. By the time the next session ends it’ll be Christmas. I’m not sure if and when we’ll sign her up for another class. I don’t want to wait too long, but with the holidays it’ll be difficult to bring her to class some weeks.
The kids had a great Halloween despite the wet, rainy evening. I’ll post the pictures and video as soon as I can. I got some good video of Emelia singing some Chinese songs. It’s adorable to watch. I love it every time she starts to sing. Caitlin is doing well and getting around the house and into trouble very quickly these days. She’s able to pull herself up to stand and able to crawl around to get where she wants to go. She’s also like a vacuum cleaner; she’ll pick up anything off the floor and shove it in her mouth. Not cool. We have to keep up with Emelia as she usually leaves a trail where ever she goes. Oh, and there were some birthdays last week. I didn’t forget them, but I didn’t have a chance to post any best wishes. I’ll have to post something belated.
Updated: I almost forgot to mention that Caitlin has three teeth now. Two bottom teeth and one on top. She’s learned the annoying art of teeth grinding just like Emelia.
Here is a random picture of Caitlin playing with her toys:
