She really wants to use our laptop, but I have no intention of getting her involved with computers until she is much older. I’d rather her be active and experience real life before plopping down in front of a computer.
good idea. i used a computer for the 1st time in elementary school, and then not again for a loooong time and i manage to get along in life, technology-wise.
I read an article about this very subject and it made a very convincing argument against allowing young children to use computers at all. Experience life first hand and then worry about experiencing it through a keyboard or game controller.
