Easter morning Emelia woke up and looked for her basket. She was apprehensive about having a bunny visit the house during the night, but was quick to thank him for the basket full of goodies. Hence the puzzled look on her face. She made out pretty well. We got her some Easter books, undies, Tinker bell bowl and plate, and a few sweet things to eat.
Around lunch I had the kids to myself and I showed them how to color Easter eggs. This was a first for both of them.
Not that I didn’t let them get their hands dirty, but I did most of the work dipping and pulling out eggs. I let them help me and that ended with me getting splashed in the face with green dye.
Later on when the moms arrived we went out for an Easter egg hunt.
As an after thought I should have either hid more eggs a little bit better or let them go out separately. Poor Emelia had a tough time keeping up with James as he found all the easier ones that I laid out for Emelia as well as the ones I put out for him. In the end Sue and Amy helped Emelia and by the end both came up with a similar number of eggs (despite there being three against one).
