Bringing Life to the World

My lawn is finally coming to life again. In less than one week the new seed I sowed has sprouted. Seed that I put down weeks ago has also sprouted. The biggest improvement made was an automatic timer for the sprinklers. Twice a day various parts of the yard get watered. This is what has brought everything to life. I’ll be happy once the entire yard is green again. When we moved in most of it was nice, with the only exception being the back yard. Nowadays more of it is in bad shape than good. I hope all our money and my hard work get it growing again.

I’m back to work on the house as much as possible too. If all goes well this week and I get time to work on things I may be able to finally blow in the insulation this weekend. I just have to finish up a few things, but they are not too big of projects that I cannot handle them. Install a light, install a house fan and build an enclosure for the attic access hole. The house fan is the biggest project of the three, but could be done in one day. The others will take only a little time to do.

We had a great weekend visiting with family. The girls were on good behavior in the car, except for the trip home so no complaints there. Out to Mass on Saturday, out to NY Saturday night and home Sunday night. A whirlwind tour. Emelia stayed with her Ayi until Monday night so we got a little time to take care of things like finding our sanity and mowing the lawn.

The nice weather has me thinking of all the projects that I’d like to start and/or complete. Being couped up in the house during winter does nothing for enthusiasm for working on the house. Springtime gets the juices flowing.

And now, looks like a good time to hit the hay.
