Another Baby on the Way
There is another baby on the way, but I’m happy to say that it isn’t going to be ours. It looks like Jason and Lily are going to be joining the new parent club. Congratulations to the both of them. Welcome to the club.
As for our babies they are both doing well. Caitlin gave us plenty of tears tonight and for what we can tell there was no reason for this crying marathon, but then again she just could be having and off day. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow is better.
Emelia is healthy and happy. She’s doing her best to take years off of our lives, but then again so does every other toddler out there. She’s doing a good job of it too. She’s now learned (by watching James) the art of climbing into cribs. She’s tried to climb out, but I stopped that immediately. I just pictured her in my mind smacking her chin, teeth or entire face on the crib as she tries to slide out. I cringe whenever I think of it.
Since we received the bed rails for converting her first crib into a bed a few weeks ago we’ll be doing some mattress shopping. Big girl will be moving into a big bed. This move should bring a whole new twist on night time “routines”. The ten minute pre-bedtime scream will be replaced by one or two hours of climbing out and back into bed. It should be fun. I expect to lose weight going up and down the stairs every night.
