Missy Girl

Our Missy Girl is no longer with us. After many, long months of staving off a nasty problem that caused her organs to slowly shut down she reached a point of no return. Mom and dad brought her to the vet in order to get her checked out and ended up learning that she took a turn for the worse. Thankfully, she didn’t suffer. She was put to sleep before the problem could cause her any significant pain and suffering.

I remember the trip that we all took to pick her up. We piled into dad’s truck and drove out to the breeder’s house to pick her up. She was pretty relaxed for a pup. We didn’t see the father, but the mother had a deep red golden; Missy had the same build and temperament of her mother. The trip home Missy spent time going back and forth between the rear and front of the truck (at least that’s how I remember it).

She will be missed deeply. Here she is enjoying a bed at grandma’s house last June.

This was taken from a song I heard
    It fits…

    I miss her a “Little”
    A little to much
    A little to often
    A little more every day.
