I’m posting all of the pictures in one shot. I took plenty of video, but that come later.
Sue appeasing me by giving me a smile while we wait for her to be prepped for surgery.
Shortly afterwards Sue took one of the few photos of me. I’m all dressed up in the gear I need to wear while in the operating room with Sue.
Brand new baby pictured here with some packing material still sticking to her.
Caitlin weighing in at 7 lbs. 15 oz.
A close-up of Caitlin. She was already given a quick sponge bath and had medicine in her eyes.
New baby footprints.
A shot of the warmer that Caitlin was using.
Sue smiling while holding her brand new baby.
Emelia getting ready to plant one of her many kisses on her baby sister.
Me and number two resting in the dads’ chair/bed.
Here are Emelia and I discussing her baby sister Caitlin.
Amy and Emelia spent a lot of time together while we were in the hospital.
Twenty hours old daddy holds the baby.
Mike, Amy and James bring Emelia for another visit.
Chowin’ down on D&D.
Emelia checking out the view from Sue’s room.
A nice floral arrangement from Amy and Mike.
Day three Amy bring Emelia for another visit. Emelia shows off her ability to pull her pants off and run around like a crazy kid.
On day three Caitlin’s “just born” puffiness is almost gone and she’s taking on a slight jaundiced look; another new baby trait that peaks on day four.
Daddy finally puts some new clothes on and poses for a shot with the baby.
Bored out of my mind and itching to get home Sue takes a picture of me holding the little one in the same chair that I’ve occupied for three days.
Sue was in good spirits now that her body is starting to recover and she could swap seats with me for a few hours. The bed she was in was about as comfortable as the chair I slept in, at least she was in a different position.
Caitlin is oblivious to everything. She’s just concerned with her next meal and if the person holding her provides a comfortable bed for sleeping.
Snug as a bug in a rug. The extra cushions are not necessary, but they do keep the little one snugged in a bit better, which keeps her asleep and quiet longer. Luckily she fits into the carrier; she’s about as small as you can get and still be safe in this seat.
With a blanket draped over her Caitlin is ready for the cold weather.
That’s all for now. It took two days to get these posted. Videos are definitely going to take time. I took 3gb of photos and videos in three days. It takes time to go through and get posted. Not to mention it is a bit busy in our house these days. I’m off to bed (couch actually).

Thanks for sharing! Caitlin looks so very different from day to day. It’s amazing how fast they change. And Sue looks fabulous. Quick healer, she must be.
