The cake was great. I never had a gelato cake before and I’m a convert. It was just as good as an ice cream cake, but different enough to be unique. James had a great time opening presents even though he was doing so more than a week in advance of his birthday. With an impending birth coming along travelling wasn’t something we are doing at this point. Amy and James were happy to oblige us and celebrate early. That way we could be there too.
