Sick

Yet again the kids have picked up some cold and spread it to everybody that has come into contact with them. I’m not complaining, but I am up late at night with all the symptoms of being sick and seemingly no desire to sleep. Thankfully, none of the symptoms are serious and I’m not likely to miss any work because of it.

I have a scratchy throat, runny nose and itchy eyes (allergies are attacking too). James only seems to have a case of drippy nose and whiny disposition (upon waking up in the morning). Emelia has a cough and is running a little warmer than usual. She too has nose the drain problem. This has made for a whiny Emelia and she’s having a tough time sleeping. Every thirty minutes she’s up coughing and crying. Mommy to the rescue; the girls are sleeping in bed together tonight. Sue will suffer for it in the morning, but nobody will get any sleep is the baby is crying too much.

On a different note Sue’s car broke down enough that I wasn’t willing to drive it long a long distance. We were in Pough-town to drop off the van (after using it for vacation) and to see Jason’s new place when Sue’s car decided to “pop”. It happened while driving. The car’s tone/pitch changed dramatically and without warning. We had instant ghetto car. When we got back to her parent’s house the car was parked and unloaded.

Jason was gracious enough to lend us his car and he would use his dad’s van for the week. It worked out well. Sue’s dad tried to fix the car, but the pipe that broke was the one from the exhaust manifold to the cat, which isn’t easy to replace. The shop took care of it and we were able to swap cars this weekend.

That’s enough for now. It’s nearly 1am and I should hit the sheets (again). I think I’m tired enough to sleep now.
