Chrome

I’m delighted and looking forward to checking out Google’s attempt at making a web browser. It’s called Google Chrome, uses WebKit and at least from the “comic” strip appears to contain some good and interesting features. At the very least Google has planted the seed (or maybe added some fertilizer to the already sprouting ideas) that the current browers are not keeping up with the pace of the internet and applications that people are writing. As a web developer I feel the pain and would love something more powerful, more reliable and browers that work consistently with standards.

Chrome is supposed to be released on Tuesday, September 2nd. Hopefully, they follow through and make the download available early so I can take it for a test drive at work.
