Redneck Entertainment Center

Entertainment Center

Here is our first official piece of redneck furniture; an entertainment center. This is high end stuff. An old, small dining room table used to hold up our TV and various stereo and DVD equipment.

I threw this together after getting home from work for one single reason; getting our VCR setup to record the 2008 Olympic opening ceremony. It was all for nothing. Our VCR only accepts line inputs and I only have coaxial cable. So, with mere minutes to spare (this pic was taken 6 minutes before the start of the ceremony) we hooked up Amy’s VCR to our new setup.

After all the trouble that I went through to get this setup and the heavy TV moved downstairs I don’t plan to change it until we get a new entertainment center. The old one was too small to hold the TV so this is the best I can do for now. If it were not for the wires it would make for a great minimalist piece. One TV, one receiver, one DVD player for PAL and a DVD/VCR player for NTSC.
