The Brethren - John Grisham

I blasted through “The Brethren” by John Grisham the past couple days. I started it last week and finished it today. It is way better than the Cornwell books I’ve been reading.
It’s an interesting book primarily about three old judges that are in jail, but found a way to extort money from people, but get caught. I can’t reveal what happens after that, but suffice it to say that the ending is okay. The story isn’t the best, but not the worst. It is worth listening too. The only complaint I really have is about the guy that kept preaching about how the US doesn’t spend enough money on defense and that the world is going to end unless we get a president in office that is willing to direct tons of money into the military. An old school and trite idea IMHO.
Now I’m back onto “The Summons” by John Grisham. This is the first part of the two book CD pack that I took out of the library. So far this one isn’t bad. Not as good as Brethren, but not bad either.
