No, we haven’t fallen off the face of the earth. It’s just that priorities kicked in and blogging did not hit the top of the list.
Emelia is doing well. Once off her medicine everything went back to normal and she’s been pretty happy. We’re still pursuing getting her to so sleep in her crib each night. She is making progress with it, but we wish she’d progress faster.
Sue and I are doing well. We didn’t get as much sleep last week as we would have liked, but we made up a little bit over the weekend. We’re back to knitting (Sue) and crocheting (me) before bed to wind down. Not to mention finish up projects that we started literally years ago. Sue whipped up a nice sweater for Emelia and is making her way through another one for James. I’m back to working on a blanket I started for Sue over a year ago. Too much to do and too little time.
Something that has felt really good is that lately (mostly this weekend) we’ve been able to take care of a number of things around the house. We put in a baby gate at the bottom of the stairs to keep the little one on the first floor. I replaced the door knobs on the bathroom doors. I heard some grumbling about them on Emelia’s birthday. I figure they needed to be changed or some unlucky person may get stuck in the bathroom.
I also got a chance to replace the sliders on the desk drawer, filed away paperwork and shreded the old stuff. I even started to put away all of Emelia’s studio pictures. For two days I’ve been organizing, arranging, writing on and putting them into a nice album. I’m about half way done and it’s stuffed. It’ll be a nice album once its all filled.
I’m sure there was some other things that we did, but I’m too tired to think of what they were. Time to crash
