It’s the Little Things

Some times it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. We were lucky enough to get some shelving for the house and what a difference it made. Two small shelves from my mom and dad went into the storage room. A quick de-cluttering and reorganization of the room and nearly everything in the basement is now put away. Another shelf from the mall by the way of Lily’s sister made its way to the basement to hold the various chemicals and painting supplies that have accumulated in the house.

What a difference it all made. The basement is much less cluttered and everything has a place now. Next up is the garage. I took home two large shelves from another store at the mall last weekend and I’m going to use them to replace the bureau/work bench the last owner left. The thing is crap and shelves are a little better. With these in place I think I may actually be able to properly organize some stuff in the garage.

I still have some metal strips that you screw to the wall to make shelves. I’ll probably put them up in the basement to hold other stuff like pipe and wood. I won’t be able to put them up until the basement wall is finished, which hopefully should be coming soon. I’m eager to get that project done and out of the way. Having a proper workshop would make working on stuff nice.
