Kids at Play
James and Emelia have really gotten a lot closer recently. James just adores Emelia. Every morning he must go see her before Amy can bring him to his room. Emelia paws all over James every morning he visits. At one point she was crying when he left, but she’s gotten over that.
During our trip to Mass the two got a lot of time to play together. This video was taken when the two of them were in Sarah’s Papasan chair. (Notice how big Emelia is compared to James. She may catch up to him pretty quickly.)

When we got back from shopping last Sunday Mike came over and all of caught up on the weekend’s activities, got a chance to rest and eat some take-out Chinese. James was energetic and very playful. Emelia was he usual, very happy self. Put the two into the same room and you get this. James entertaining Emelia and Emelia encouring him to show off.

That doesn’t mean Xuemei doesn’t have fun when James isn’t around. Mommy can get her to giggle easily.

Meimei has also taken a great liking to the letter blocks that have passed down from my grandma. Just like myself and James, she likes to play with them and with the bucket. There is just something about them. Her favorite games are “chew on the blocks” and “knock over the stack of blocks that dad patiently stacked”.
