A Short Renunion

We had a short by happy reunion last night. Sue and I switched spots. She’s back home and I’m at her parent’s house helping out. I got a chance to see my little one again for a little while when I arrived. It was great.

Emelia just woke up from a nap and was in a great mood. Her cold has reduced down to a little cough. Well, she was very happy to see me and have me hold her, which makes me very happy. Although she does not smile any more than usual it was clear she was happy to see me. She stayed in my arms and played with me for a little while.

Later on Sue and then her mom asked if she wanted to go to them. This is done by putting your arms out to her or clapping and putting your arms out to her. If she wants to go to you she leans over and puts her arms out. Very cute to see. If she doesn’t want you she either stays the way she is or turns away. James did a very similar thing when younger. Well, when both Sue and her mom tried it Emelia stayed put. She was happy to be with daddy and he was happy to hold her.

After taking care of a few things her and mommy made their way home. We’ll see each other again on Friday, but until then this will have to hold us.
