Sniffles

If it isn’t one thing it’s another. Sue and Emelia have been dealing with a cold (or maybe allergies) for over a week. I think that they may be reinfecting each other, but it’s tough to tell. The past few days have been the worst; Emelia has been miserable and Sue is getting worn out.

The baby not only got a runny nose and a lot sneezing to deal with, she’s recently added coughing into the mix. The result is that she wakes herself up by coughing at night meaning Sue has to put her to sleep again (padding and such). Neither gets a good night of sleep and both are already exhausted. I’d help out, but she has been spending a few days with her parents to help out while Jason is on his honeymoon so we are not even in the same house.

I have my own mix of sniffles and such to deal with, however, I think mine are mostly due to allergies, but a little bit of cold cannot be ruled out. So, with a few days to myself I ended up being very unproductive. After work Monday I plopped onto the couch for a long nap. Tuesday I had no choice, but to get stuff done; laundry, moving car seats and mowing the lawn. Not to mention cooking, cleaning, etc. Now that it is Wednesday I’m still a bit groggy, but making through the day ok. The biggest complaint I have is a leaky nose that is turning raw from blowing and wiping.

yeah, I’ve got the plague too. mine is achy body, raw throat, sneezing and extreme tiredness though. it had better clear up soon too.

I’m happy to say that it looks like my problem is now all allergy related. Pop a Zyrtec and my problems all go away, for the most part.

The baby is doing well too. She still has a little cough, but it is clearing up nicely and her appetite never wavered, which means it wasn’t a bad cold.
