Lead Paint Scare
Note to self, “Always make sure none of Emelia’s toys are part of a recall.”
I just took a look at the list of products in the Mattel Lead Paint Recall and found two that look awfully familiar.
This one is sitting in my truck as I type this. Emelia has been playing with it off and on since Sue’s friend gave it to her Tuesday of last week. Not anymore.
This one is sitting in Amy’s living room right now.
The recall only affects products purchased after May 1, 2007 so James’ toy is okay (we gave it to him for Christmas), but not Emelia’s. Luckily she hasn’t handled it much. She hasn’t been that interested in it so we got lucky. I’ll go through the recall steps to see if they’ll give us anything for it. Even if it isn’t considered part of the recall I think I’ll just toss it. No offense to Sue’s friend, but I just can’t take the chance that Mattel is wrong.
