Happy Birthday Mom

Happy birthday to mom. Over the weekend held a birthday/anniversary get together at her house. Family, friends and neighbors all joined in. It was nice to see some old faces and get to catch up a bit. We don’t get to see my cousins and family as much as I would like so these get togethers are nice. There were plenty of kids there too. We had Emelia of course, but there was an infant and toddler there as well. The next generation is growing.

Thanks Jess for the books. I think you have pretty much stocked the bulk of Emelia’s book collection, surpassing even my contributions. She’s getting more interested in things such as reading and playing with books. I can’t wait to break open the new board books and get to reading them with her. They’re a nice change of pace too. I think I’m getting sick of Elmo and Sesame street. Effeminate little Elmo overload.

After the party we headed to Sue’s parents house to crash. I was absolutely exhausted and fell right to sleep. Sue and baby slept well too. I don’t think I had enough though. I was very sleepy on the ride home last night and crashed like a long once home. The snoring didn’t stop (as Sue can attest). I’m still a little groggy, but I’m hoping that the coffee kicks in soon.

Three weeks and counting. The wedding is almost here.
