How did I forget that yesterday Emelia turned 5 months? I must be losing my mind. Happy 5th month birthday honey!

Little girl is growing more and more each day. During our drives to/from daycare this week she spends time just looking around. She checks out the entire interior of the truck, making sure to look up and back as far as she can to see the visors, etc.

She also likes to watch me when I drive. I on occasion talk and look at her, but I am driving so eye contact is kept at a minimum.

Her favorite radio station happens to be the one I like (really she likes it) so we always listen to it. It’s a alternative/metal/rock station. She doesn’t like the classic rock. I can’t blame her. There is only so many times you can listen to the same old tired songs.

Today she shocked me when driving. Out of the blue and for no reason she just got really excited and yelled. Her eyes were wide open and her arms spread apart. I thought something was wrong, but a quick glance showed that she was ecstatically happy. She did it again shortly after. I never saw her do anything like that before. Otherwise, she’s just been a happy little girl today.

Hopefully, she’ll stay in a good mood. We’re off to get her 5 month pictures taken. I’m crossing my fingers and praying that they don’t screw this one up. We just got the 4 months pictures. The first time they put in the order they lost it. Then they couldn’t find the pictures, but found them later. The second order came in and somehow they screwed up some of the prints.

We’re hoping this shoot goes well. The person that did the 3rd month (retake) shoot was great, but she left. We’re trying to find somebody else that is just as good. We’ll just have to see. If we can we’re going to have her wear something special this time. You’ll just have to wait to see what it is.
