Lily’s Bridal Shower

Sunday was Lily’s Bridal Shower. Jess, this is the event that Amy and Sue were buying decorations for. I was trying to be discreet and not let out any details. I should have kept my fingers quiet and not mention the decorations, but too late.

From what I hear it turned out well. I helped Sue Sunday morning by putting up balloons and what-not around the house (being tall helps) before taking off for the afternoon.

To keep the focus on Lily and not on the kids both Mike and I took our little ones away for a few hours. I think they made it through no worse for wear. Emelia was good for me, although, she was a bit of a daddy’s girl. I tried to pawn her off on Jason a few times, but it didn’t last. She always found her way back to me.

I won’t complain though. She didn’t cry except when she was hungry. The only trouble I had was finding ways to entertain her. She can be a handful when bored. A couple bottles, two naps and numerous diapers later we made our way back to the house. We saw grandma for a few minutes before cleaning, packing and getting ready to go home.

The surprise.

Ummmmm lots of yummy chemicals. Nothing enhances the flavor of punch like red dye #40.
