Xiaoniu 小妞

It’s been a week since I’ve had time or the energy to make a post and I have little time or energy today so I’ll keep it short.

Last weekend a sickness started to roam through the family. James got it, Mike and Amy got it, I have it and Emelia has it. Yesterday, Sue started to feel a little under the weather. It’s made for an interesting week. Luckily we all, with the exception of Sue are close to the end if not fully recovered.

Last week I got a chance trim up the trees around the yard and cut them up into little pieces. Come Wednesday I’ll be able to run them over to the transfer station. The town usually takes them, but there is too much to bundle up for them. They were nice enough to remind me of their policy by leaving a note in my mailbox, but I fully intend to get rid of it myself. If I get a chance I’ll post a picture of the end results. There are still a few more branches to get down, but so far it looks a lot cleaner. You can see the house from the road now.

On Wednesday we went out for Emelia’s 4 month pictures. She did very well and we got many nice pictures of her. I’ve been having trouble posting pictures lately so I’ll share them when I get it fixed.

Over the weekend the little girl was a momma’s girl. Since she was not feeling well Emelia was all over Sue. A number of people include myself tried to console her, but she’d only put up with them for a little bit. She really just wanted mommy. She seems to be getting better though.

Today she gets her 4 month shots and a weight/length check. I can’t wait to see where she is now. I have a good idea of how much she weighs and how long she is, but I want accurate numbers. To give you an idea of where she is now, she’s officially moved into size 3 diapers and some of her 6-9 month clothes are shrinking. We’re buying 12 month clothes now. What a joy.
