Riding the green machine

This time last year I brought James for his first and only ride on the green machine. We slowly drove around the yard. This year I offered him a ride and he took it again. Only this time he spent the entire time on my leg while I mowed the lawn. I offered to bring him inside twice and the third time actually brought him in, but he ended up riding along each time.

Even though it is a boring job James was more than happy to ride along. I remember my first ride on an old Homelite lawn tractor (thanks dad) and don’t blame James at all. We took it pretty easy most of the time and he was happy. Once the blades were off we zipped around at full speed (5 mph) zig zagging and zipping around cars. The little green machine can be a fun ride.
