2 months, 13 pounds, 23 inches, and counting

Little girl got her 2 month shots today. It went as expected with just the right amount of tears. Emelia now weighs in at a hefty 13 pounds 3.2 ounces and is 23 inches long. She’s healthy and doing well. One funny thing that happened was that the practitioner turned Meimei towards her and was about to check her out. Emelia started fussing right away looking at us for help. The practitioner commented that she’s too young to notice strangers. Sorry to tell her, but little Emelia is doing lots of things early. The least of which is the ability to recognize strangers and her parents by sight.
One thing I forgot to mention last post is that a neighbor stopped by Saturday to drop off a gift for the baby. It was a handmade quilt wall hanging. She did a great job on it. We also saw our other neighbors while on our walk last night and they all wanted to see Emelia, comment on how beautiful she is and to ask us how we like the house and neighborhood. They’re all friendly people. A great place to live.
Now back to the 89 degree weather!
