Bachelorhood

Well, it looks like I have a couple weeks to myself. Sue is spending some time with her mother. Sue gets to take care of baby and Sue’s mom gets to take care of her baby. That’s a role I can’t ever fill, especially when it comes to cooking. I think Sue has looked forward to having mom’s food for weeks now. Dinner last night was like a sign of relief. She really enjoyed sitting down to Sunday dinner with the family. Heating up leftovers just isn’t the same. I enjoyed it too, but I know that Sue really missed it the past few weeks.

This leaves me with two weeks of bachelorhood. I already miss my two ladies, but two weeks isn’t too long. I just need to find a way to keep me occupied. I have more than enough stuff to do. It’s choosing what I want to/should do that is difficult.

  • Finish projects I started months/a year ago
  • Clear a few of the things off of the honey-do list
  • Finish up my Suafe project
  • Catch up on my Chinese language studies
  • Sit around be lazy
  • Waste away hours reading blogs and articles on digg

The possibilities are endless. I’ll probably end up doing a little of all the above. I think my first job will be to unbury the office. Plenty of leftover paperwork to put away and I really ought to fix the desk drawer. Then it is down to the basement to finish up the work down there. Lots of cleanup, installing trim and painting to do. Thanks to dad I don’t have to worry about doing much with the wall other than painting and trimming out the door. Then I’ll finish off the day with some surfing, blog reading and catching up on the latest ChinesePod podcasts.
