House Anniversary

Today marks our first year house anniversary. It’s hard to believe it’s only been one year. Some days it just feels like we’ve lived here for many years.
It’s been a good year. We’ve done lots of work around the house to improve it and keep up with ordinary maintenance. There is no short of stuff left to do though. I suspect that will never end. The “honey-do” list will never be cleared.
The house has seen plenty of good times; A house warming party, Thanksgiving, Christmas and the birth of Emelia. There have been some bad times too.
We’re all happy though. Despite what seems like an endless list of things to fix and change we still like our house. It’s aging, but not too old. It’s not too big or too small. The neighbors are nice. Plenty of history and plenty future.
We’ll be here for a while. Emelia will grow up in this house and in this neighborhood. We’ll grow old here.
