The snow is a comin’

If you live in north-eastern US you must have heard that the snow is a comin’ by now. A mild winter (for us at least) with only a few snow showers that resulted in a whopping 2 inches have left us all spoiled. That’s going to change tonight and tomorrow.
I can’t speak for everywhere, but we are on the line between the 12-24 and 24-36 predictions. A little shift one way could leave us with over 2 feet of snow. Basically, we’re getting all the snow at one time. Should be fun. I’m thinking of taking the day off tomorrow. I wouldn’t be surprised if work is closed for the day, but just in case I’ll talk with my boss.
I want to be home just in case things start to happen. Mom and dad will be quick to point out that I was born during a big snow storm. I’m wondering if our little one will be any different. Her due date is Thursday, but that doesn’t mean she won’t start her journey at the most inopportune time, like tomorrow when there is 2 feet of snow on the roads or tonight just before all the big snow falls, leaving me with a full driveway to deal with.
Anywho, enjoy the snow while you can. Ski, sleigh ride or make snow angels.

betchya Sue would let you buy a snowblower today if you asked her. just tell her you need to be prepared in case the baby comes during the storm….

Thought of it, but also remembered my $200 brake job (coming very soon), $700 for my truck tires, two weeks of day care paid in advanced, baby stuff, birthday gifts, etc… Then I thought it best to keep my mouth shut. Going broke is too easy.

BTW I do have a nice neighbor that has a functional snow-blower. Maybe if they see me struggling outside they’ll come over and help out.

yeah that used to happen to us all the time at hunting lane. as long as we were out shoveling the driveway, the neighbors with snowblowers would come over and help out.

Well, they came out yesterday to help us too. One neighbor helped out a couple times, then another came out later. This morning the first guy was back over helping out. I think I’d still be out there if they didn’t help. And to think I was actually looking forward to snow. Stupid.
