China criticisms Bush for not respecting religious diversity
Did I miss something here? China, which is run by the Atheist Communist Party (all members give up their religious beliefs upon becoming a member of the CCP), which doesn’t allow the existence of any non-state approved religion is telling somebody else to respect religious diversity? I’m not saying I disagree, but this is the pot calling the kettle black.

Group Super Bowl parties cannot include big TVs
According to this article the NFL has a problem with groups of people getting together to watch the Super Bowl if their TV is larger than 55″. WTF? Apparently if you have a big TV you have to watch it home and alone. This article stems from the NFL getting into a hizzy fit because a church was going to show the game. No admission, just a get together. You would think that the NFL would want to promote their games

Pregnant woman loses her baby because of traffic violation
Granted the woman should not have been driving with a fake, temporary registration on her car, but a bleeding, pregnant woman should have been a cause for concern for the officers. They apparently didn’t believe her and the woman ended up losing the baby due to miscarriage. A damn shame. I wonder how those officers feel knowing that they should have at least given the woman the benefit of the doubt.

Uptight Bostonians fear cartoon promoting terrorists
Talk about being hypersensitive. The entire city of Boston, MA thought that there were terrorists planning bomb attacks. However, in the real world a couple of guys put up some light-up advertisements promoting a cartoon on the Cartoon Network. The light-up devices depicted the characters from the show. People freaked out mistaking the LED light-up characters (one of which rightfully was giving them the middle finger) as C-4 bombs. “We’re the laughing stock,” said somebody. No kidding.

Breastfeeding activist sued by The National Pork Board
A woman has a blog to promote breastfeeding and to raise money for a milk bank in Ohio. She has a Cafepress site where she sells shirts to raise money for said bank. (Take a look at the shirts. They are pretty good.) Why is the NPB going after her? Because she was selling a shirt that said “the other white milk”. Their complaint is that her shirt violates their trademark of “the other white meat”. Hmm. Breast milk and pork. I don’t know about you, but I can tell the difference. Milk from boob. Pork from slaughterhouse. Simple.
