Happy Birthday to Sue!!

Today is my sweetheart’s birthday. I gave her my gifts last night. A new set of sneakers and a nice pijama set designed for nursing.

I was going to take her out for a quick lunch today since I was in her area, but forgot that a couple of her coworkers (from another group) were going to take her out. Before today not too many people knew today was her birthday. I stopped by and one thing led to another and the one coworker (in her new group) that knew happened to tell the others while I was there. The cat was let out of the bag!

Sue got back from lunch and was called into her boss’ office. When she got back to her desk she found that her cube was decorated with balloons and other stuff. Her coworkers decided to throw her a surprise birthday party at work. They must have decided and planned it all while she was out for lunch.

It’s nice they did that for her. Most of my coworkers can’t seem to remember my birthday. I don’t go out advertising when it is, but my boss and some others know. Usually a week or so after my birthday somebody remembers and says “Happy Birthday” to me, but that is just about it. My boss doesn’t say anything. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised; I don’t even get a Merry Christmas at the end of December. Hmmppphh.
