SG-1 is G-G-G-G-Gone!

Depending on who you want to believe Startgate SG-1 is being cancelled by the Sci-Fi channel. Poor ratings, and IMHO the loss of integral character personalities, has lead to the demise of the series.
If you check around you might find rumors of the series moving to another station/channel, again. We’ll see. I will probably watch it when I can, but without O’Neill it just isn’t the same. He was the heart of the show. Oh well.
As for Startgate Atlantis, that show seems to be doing okay. That’s fine with me. Sue and I both like watching Atlantis.

To bad it’s cancelled. I stopped watching it shortly after O’Neil left. It just wasn’t the same to me. I just found out that HBO has cancelled Deadwood. Oh well, theres always Jerry Springer.

I really liked the idea of Deadwood and even have a copy of the first episode on DVD (sampler), but I never got a chance to get into it. I guess I should have gotten HBO. Oh well. Same goes for The Sopranos. I loved watching it, but you get very lost if you miss one episode. It looks like there are plenty of pissed off fans. There’s even a Save Deadwood site.
Can you believe that Springer has been on TV for almost 15 years! Check out this. Interesting information about how the show started. And now look at it. Thankfully the oddity factor has finally worn off. I can see that many people are still watching it.

I understand that they are planning (2) 2 hour shows to end the series in 2007.
Most people were turned off because of the amount an type of profanity in the show. If you were able to ignore the profanity in the show, it became interesting. I don’t mind cussing in film but even for me, it made me a little uncomfortable at first. Not the words but the frequency of use.
I always wondered why HBO spans the series chapters so far apart, usually 1 to 2 years. Very strange. Still waiting for the next chapter of Rome. Sometime in 2007 I think.
