Busy Days

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for us. Last Friday we made a trek to Mass. for a wedding. My cousin Bridget was getting married. I have some pictures to post, but haven’t gotten around to doing it yet. Maybe if I have some time this weekend I’ll get them up on the site. Okay, so I’m busy and lazy. Blah! For now you can check out the pictures Sarah took.
We had a pretty good time at the wedding. It was a bit larger than I’m used to (about 200 people??), but it didn’t bother me much this time. The last large wedding I went to I got sick at. I’m not one for crowds and heat. Clausterphobia sets in pretty quickly. I usually get away to get some air. This time I contented myself by eating “horse ovaries” and having a couple drinks. Just a little something to settle the stomach.
After the wedding we made our way back to NY to work, etc. Took a quick trip to Chinatown on Monday and watched the fireworks on Monday night. By Tuesday we were ready to be back at home. We spent Tuesday night just resting and recovering from the week. Not to mention eating the goodies and watching movies we bought in NY.
On Sunday we were able to pick up a couple of garage door openers during one of Sue’s dad’s home improvement shopping sprees at Lowes. 10% coupon + ambition = shopping spree. Sue unfortuntaley, had to take one for the team while loading the truck. Her father bought a sliding door and we had to get it into the truck. We tilted it and the damn door fell out!! Sue purposely puts her leg in the way to catch it. The door smashed into her thigh and then hit the ground. The door sufferred very little damage, but Sue has a huge purple welt on her leg now.
Garage door openers + Desperate need for working garage = Busy week for Shaun. I only got one installed, but it is oh so nice. A working garage door opener. I’ll be even happier when I get the other one replaced. It works, but it doesn’t seem that safe to me. It also doesn’t match. I’ll get on that one next week.

bridget had told me that her guest list was about 170 people. that is large.
hug sue for me. and ice her down… or something, he-he.
i was thinking about installing a garage door opener as well. not sure where to put it though, seeing as we don’t have a garage, or even a shed.
we had the weeping willow removed from the hill behind our house. it was beautiful, but very sick. during our last thunder storm it began to drop limbs that were covered in a black fungus – not good. so now we will save a ton of time in yard work, not cleaning up willow branches & leaves, as well as saving the paint jobs on our vehicles as the tree was very sappy and we have to park close to it. now we have a lot of work making the yard look good in places that used to be out of sight due to the tree. landscaping, here we come.

@Sarah
Could you send me full size copies too? It’s funny that something as simple as a garage door opener can make your life to much easier. I can’t wait to get the other one installed. Just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
@Jessie
Did you ever consider replacing one of your walls with a garage door?? Huh?? Just think of how nice it would be to open that baby in the summer.
We have a few trees we’d like to take down. One is too close to the house, another is just a PITA. It’s expensive though. If they weren’t so damn big I’d do it myself.

are you fully aware that you’re losing your mind?
