Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to me! We had a pretty good time on Sunday. Sue and I took my mom and dad out to breakfast. It was part of our present to dad for father’s day. We are usually tied up with work on the weekends so getting out for a breakfast is a nice treat for all of us. It also gives us time together.

After breakfast we made our way over the river to go to work for the day. It was extremely hot and muggy so being stuck inside in the a/c wasn’t all too bad. It was slow though. Not too many people hit the malls when the weather is sunny and hot. We had the regulars and the people that wanted to soak up the free a/c. :)

We picked up a small, plastic pool for Huafei. Sue and her father have been eye-balling them in the paper ever since the baby started swimming classes. He loves the water and they wanted to get him something to play in. The only problem is the ones they were looking at were too big and deep. We ended up getting a nice small one that can be easily filled and emptied. The water goes up to his knees.

It took plenty of talking, but Amy let us take James home to play in the pool and she covered for us at the restaurant. The baby had a ball! The water was a little chilly, but the sun helped warm it up. We (me and him!) stayed in the pool for about 30 minutes. He just stomped around splashing and playing with a bucket. It was fun to watch. Hopefully, the weather will be good this coming weekend so that we can use the pool again.
