Training Day 4

Today was best so far. Sue was downtown for a few seminars and we were able to meet up for lunch!! It’s not too often where we are both in the same area during a workday. Today we got to spend our hour long lunch together. We opted for taco salads in the park. Sue even got to meet a couple of the women I work with while we waited in line.

I didn’t want to make her late so I gave her a quick walking tour around the area. I know enough to keep from getting lost now. We walked around a bit and I brought her back near the Court of Appeals. There were plenty of news vans outside covering the Porco trial. Some familar faces from the local news were walking around.

Like all seminars and conferences there were free goodies. Sue picked up a few for me and her. I now have a new water bottle (kinda like a Nalgene rip off), small screwdriver set, pens, etc. Pretty cool! (OK, so I’m easily pleased and easily amused.)

The last “day” of training wasn’t of much interest. Nothing to warrant a post. I was hoping that it would extend until lunch time, but I was back at my desk by 11am. Damn. No lunch in Albany on Friday. I ended up with pretzels, Nesquick and an egg sandwich. Needless to say lunch sucked. No sandwiches at the store and no time to go out.
