This is the first day of the actual GJXDM training that I’ve been waiting for. A couple of the speakers were the same as the from the first class, but there are three new ones. I just about stayed awake this time. The three new guys have enough speaking skills and energy to keep me concious. When one of the other guys go up there my browser suddenly jumps to some random article and my eyes drop to the screen. It’s an amazing reaction. ![]()
Like the first two days we took time today during lunch to venture about downtown Albany. This time we ended up eating Panini not far from the river. Started our walk off at Tantillo Gallery. It’s a small gallery of local, historical paintings. I found a few I like, but I don’t think we’ll be buying any of them. They are not too expensive, but more than I’m ready to spend frivilously right now.
After the gallery we trotted over the pedestrian bridge across the highway to the river front park. I had no idea it even existed. It gave us a good view of the SUNY Plaza:
It’s much more impressive looking in person. We walked off lunch by walking just about as far north as we could go. By then it was 15 minutes until the end of lunch and it looked like we had a long way to walk back. We ended up getting back on time, but sweaty from the heat and exercise. Another great lunch!
