Moveabletype

I signed up, downloaded Moveabletype and regretted the whole experience. I was hoping to try it out to see how well it actually worked, but was sorely dissappointed. I was going to use it for my MCM site, but I didn’t.

I still can’t believe how unfriendly the installation is. First of all you have to go to their website to view the isntallation instructions. They aren’t exactly good instructions either. I made it as far as creating the configuration file and trying to create the initial database. I followed the instructions, clicked the button to initialize the database and then nothing. After a number of failed attempts I gave up and uploaded a copy of WordPress and was up and running in less than 5 minutes.

I may give Drupal another try. We’ll see.

    It’s not hard ya know. I’m still stumped with the what came first dilema, the chicken or the egg.:(
