Making Progress

We came home early this weekend and it was a good thing we did. We got quite a bit done on Sunday. The house is starting to look more like a house and it’s losing the echo. The master bedroom is just about finished. All the curtains are up, furniture is moved in and one of the closets is complete. Still need to install some closet hardware and install the door slider. After that the only thing left to do is install a fan/light.

We moved all the stuff from the guest room and office into the other bedroom in preparation for painting the ceiling. Well, after a closer look at the walls we actually need to paint them as well. So, it looks like I’ll be having some more fun with paint in the coming weeks. It sucks, but in the end it looks great. I picked up a few painting tips while mom and dad were up so maybe it won’t be so bad. At least the wall isn’t a dark color.

I never thought it possible, but the furnace actually generates water. We noticed this when Dad installed a condensate pump. I haven’t had a chance to run the drain line out yet. So, it’s filling 5 gallon bucket. It generates about 1.5-2 gallons of water per day. I’ll have to fix this shortly.

There’s plenty of work to do. We are happy and willing to do it for now. I’m sure there will be a day when we say, “To hell with it. I’m tired. I’m going to bed.”
