Camber of Culdi – Katherine Kurtz

Camber of Culdi” by Katherine Kurtz is the first Deryni novel I’ve ever read and I think I’m hooked. It takes a little getting used to the mix of Christianity and fantasy, but the story was pretty good. I probably should have started the series with the Chronicles series instead of the Legends series, but I didn’t realize it at the time. The characters are different and this gives me some background. So, it might be good in the long run.

I am a little disappointed that I ended up with a few duplicates though. When I picked up those 41 books at the estate sale there were two duplicates in the bunch. Both were Kurtz novels. I was just on Amazon trying to find a link to another Kurtz book when I realized that a book I picked up at the Book Market is a Kurtz book too. At least the one I got at Book Market is hard cover and I didn’t end up paying much for it. It does mean I have three duplicates though.

I’m debating whether I should start “Cell” by Stephen King or “Saint Camber” the next book in the Kurtz legends series. I’ll figure it out later. Time to take a quick rest from reading. It’s one bad habit I have; running from book to book. Always reading. Oh well. There are worse habits.
