New Spring – Robert Jordan

I’m all tapped out of Jordan, Wheel of Time novels. I finished “New Spring” on Saturday. It was a very different book than I expected. It had none of the very wordy and deep storylines of the other WOT books.

It was good, especially, if you wanted to know more about Moraine or Siuan, but a very quick read. There was also plenty of history and “educational” sections clearly for people not familiar with the storyline. There are plenty of familiar names as well. You could easily read this one first or after any of the other books.

Now, I started reading some golden oldies. I started reading a book named “Camber of Culdi” by Katherine Kurtz. I picked it up Saturday along with 40 other old, paperback fantasy novels. Sue and I went to an estate sale to see if they had anything we woul actually want and found nothing, but I did buy up all the fantasy novels. Not a bad haul at $4 for 41 paperback novels.
