Busy Weekend

Although, I haven’t been as busy as Sarah lately, I’m not sitting around at home bored. I ended up working late on Friday, which I try not to do but it couldn’t be avoided. I had “training” that was paid for by the state and couldn’t bail out because I wanted to get home on time. That got me thinking about having dad come up to see the house with me.

So, I spent Friday at home alone and went to see the house on Saturday morning with dad. And no I didn’t have a good time on Friday. My arm and shoulder were aching so I went to bed very early to keep me from thinking about it. Oh well. Saturday was good though. Dad came up alone since mom has been sick with a nasty cold.

We spent about 1 hour at the house. After checking out everything except for the attic space he was happy with what he saw. He picked up on the same things I did, but was able to explain what it all meant. Overall the house is in great shape and doesn’t need much work. It’s kinda dated looking inside in spots, but we are not afraid to do some handy work in the house. We are both looking forward to making a house our own.

Dad gave his approval and is very happy. I think he would really like to see us buy this one. Mom saw the pictures I took and she likes it too. Sue’s dad is okay with it. I mistakenly said the house was west facing, which is not good in his book. Well, I took a closer look at the property care of Google Earth and come to find out the house is south facing. It almost faces perfectly south. So, that is good. Her father said as long as we are happy with it then he is okay. This keeps Sue happy.

So, on Monday we are going to talk with our realtor. We’re hoping to make an offer. Cross your fingers for us.
