Ajax in Action

I read most of “Ajax in Action” and I’m not sure if I liked it or not. I had plenty of problems with the source code examples. For some reason most of them gave errors when I tried to execute them. However, the information in the book seemed pretty good.

The style of writing was easy to get through and the information was not bad. It was definitely a primer on the subject. You really need to get into Ajax development to get a good feel for it. It also helps to have plenty of good JavaScript language experience. I thought I had a good background, but you really have to know the intricacies of the language. It isn’t difficult if you already know some languages like C and Java.

I didn’t read the entire book either. I know Sue wants to use something from Ajax on a project at work so I let her read it. I’ll finish reading the last part (examples) later.
