Family Tree

Every so many years I get the bug to start working on a family tree. I’ve helped Uncle Mike and Uncle Billy in the past, but now that I am married and I think about James, and it makes my fingers itch to work on the tree. It’s happened again and I’ve been bugging Sue and Amy for information about their part of our family. So far we’ve been able to get quite a few names down, but it isn’t complete. I’m also including information about Mike’s family. These are big chunks to add to the Messier/Burns family tree. I’ll have to get a hold of Uncle Billy and Uncle Mike.

BTW if you know if any good genealogy software that is free let me know. I’ve tried Family Tree Maker and I’m not impressed. Last night I started a trial of something else, but the I forgot the name. It has some bugs and quirks, but does a pretty nice job of displaying a graphical family tree.
