Faith of the Fallen – Terry Goodkind

Faith of the Fallen” is now back on the book shelf. I finished it today during lunch. It was a pretty good book. I’m glad to see that Goodkind is expanding the story into other parts of the world he dreamed up. I only wish the books contained an updated map showing at least something of the Old World. I suspect the reason he doesn’t include one is so that he isn’t locked into certain aspects of a map that he includes. i.e He has the freedom to introduce previously unthoughtof places or geographical entities like mountain ranges, bodies of water, etc.

As usual this book ended on a good note. I like that about Goodkind. All kinds of hell can be breaking loose, but at the end of any of his books good things happen and you feel somewhat better about all the bad that happened. I started reading the first chapter of “Pillars of Creation” and the jacket. I’m curios to see where Goodkind is taking us now. Especially, with the war going so poorly. Something miraculous is needed to help them out of this situation and defeat Jagang. Maybe killing Brother Narev will take the wind out of Jagang’s sails.
