Temple of the Winds - Terry Goodkind

Four down and 5 to go…for now at least. I finished “Temple of the Winds” this past Saturday and it was excellent. I was disappointed to see that there was little storry about Zedd, but some of the things that were going on in the last 200 pages had me staying up late at night trying to read. I ended up reading almost the rest of the book until about 1am Friday night. I just couldn’t help myself. The “betrayal” portion of the book had me hooked. If you didn’t already know that everything works out by the end you’d suspect that the marriages for Richard and Kahlan would stick.
Throughout the book I suspected that Drefan was the man attacking the women. It just seemed too good to be true that Richard’s brother came out of hiding and wanted to help Richard. I’m glad to see my intuition was correct.
After I finished the book I was pissed. I went through the trouble of getting out the fifth book and putting on the counter to take home, but I ended up forgetting it in the apartment. I was upset because I had to spend many hours at the restaurant and didn’t have anything to do. I didn’t have any good books downstate and since I just bought so many used books I really didn’t want to get anything else. I ended up going to Media play to pick up something. I ended up with “Deception Point” by Dan Brown.
So far it is an interesting book. I’m almost through half of the book, but I’m not exactly sure what the “mystery” part of the book is. The story is interesting, but I’m eager to see where Brown is going with it.
