Rowenta Iron

I’ve been in my new position for about three months now. One of the higher up managers “suggested” that I start wearing a shirt and tie like everybody else, so I had to finally break down and buy some shirts and ties. I have quite a collection now and found that I need to iron a lot more than I ever did in my life. I have been using a Hamilton Beach iron up until now and it has worked well. However, if you try ironing more than a few shirts it starts to act up. It’ll shut off without warning and when it starts to cool very hot water spills out of the holes in the sole plate. You have to unplug and plug it to get it working. Not to mention it spits water on your clothes once in a while too.

So, I broke down and found myself a really nice iron. I did some research and from what I’ve read the Rowenta irons are pretty good. They are supposed to have large water resivoirs and very good steam power. Well, I gotta pissed last night and went to get one. I ironed one shirt and overall it did a great job. Plenty of steam and it heats up quickly too. The only part that may scare you away is the noise it makes when you lift it off the clothes to stand it up. If it happens to be making a burst of steam it can be suprisingly loud. It made Sue jump when it happened the first time. Let’s see if it lives up to it’s name and cost.

Although all steam irons might seem to be the same, in the end they are not. Big differences in quality, steam output, glide, heat… all elements that make a good iron and allowing you to iron faster with better results. I am glad you tried a Rowenta and the one you have has an amazing steam performance. Don’t worry about the noise, its actually a unique technology that releases the steam to allow it to penetrate deeper into the fabrics and therefore helping you to take out the wrinkles faster. good luck
